And The Rest Was History…

Today I embark on the journey of being a blogger. Thank you all for joining me as I take this small leap of creative faith, and see where it leads me.

Lately, I’ve found myself wandering into my kitchen to bake. There is no better place than a kitchen that smells of warm snickerdoodles. While baking, I have time to stop and recall all the memories I’ve made in my kitchen throughout the years. It seems that most of my memories point to my great-grandmother in one way or another. She is a 99-year-old southern bell packed with cayenne pepper and is what has inspired a lot of what this blog will be. We will talk about her old recipes that I have tweaked (without her knowing, please don’t tell) or left the same out of fear. I will take you all with me as I travel to bakeries and try to recreate some of the experiences at home. This blog will be a way for me to break bread with you and share a little of this journey we call life. So, get it whiles it’s hot, Bread Today Scone Tomorrow. You never know which today will hold.

*Champagne and Confetti* Cheers to us saving the world one blog post and snickerdoodle at a time!
